Hello! My name is Zahra- I've been teaching violin for 6 years and have been playing for 17. I'm an Australian citizen who has recently moved back to Perth and is looking to take on some new students who are either beginner, intermediate, or semi-advanced.

I have experience in creating custom curricula for each student based on their personal goals, learning styles, needs, and interests. (examples: creating custom music scores with colours and numbers for students struggling to learn to sight-read, creating customized play-along videos stepping the student through a song while they practice at home, and designing interactive and playful theory games for younger students to keep them engaged)

I'm happy to provide photos of my certificates and awards if needed. I deeply enjoy teaching and believe that it's possible to teach in a way that makes the instrument enjoyable while helping my students strive for excellence with the violin!

Here is what one of my clients has to say about her child's experience with me! They've been with me from the beginning.

"Zahra has been teaching my daughter violin for the past 6 years, sometimes in person and sometimes online over Zoom. She's been extraordinarily patient with my daughter, who has some learning disabilities and needed some adaptations that I'm not sure other teachers would have been willing or able to accommodate. She's an exceptional violin player herself. Her kindness and flexibility have made a big difference and T has slowly but surely progressed over the years and wants to continue playing at her own pace, which is great! She's supported her in learning music for her school strings program too - whatever she most needed help with. Zahra's always taken T's musical preferences into consideration but is also willing to cover structured teaching methods like Suzuki and the Royal Conservatory if desired. They have covered theory in fun and engaging ways too. I know T looks up to Zahra personally as well, she's an amazing role model!"
