My approach to teaching the piano has its roots in the Russian style of piano playing. This has an emphasis on musicality combined with a solid technical grounding. My aim is to instil in students a love of playing the piano and to teach a wide range of repertoire that students will have a connection with and enjoy playing.
For students aged approximately between 5 to 12, I encourage parents to help guide their child during home learning as this will help to develop good practice habits from early on. For parents with no musical background, I can help you with offering easy and straight forward tips on how you can structure your child's practice at home.
