Double Bass tuition - Beginner to Advanced Level
Learn your way around the double bass in 30 – 60 minute instrumental lessons. Proficient in beginner to advanced repertoire. Lessons can be scheduled on a weekly basis or adapted to an individual’s needs. Lessons are designed to foster a sense of engagement and excitement in learning the bass repertoire, with a focus on correct technique to ground playing. With a larger instrument like the double bass, having the right 'set up' can be pivotal in avoiding injuries and getting the best sound out of your instrument!

About me:
I’m a South Melbourne-based musician and work full time with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Previously I performed full time with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in 2024 and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra as a double bassist for the previous eight years. I initially began my music studies at age five with piano lessons, and believe that a background in piano provides children with a fundamental foundation for their musical education. I have extensive teaching experience having provided classical double bass and piano tuition privately, in schools and for youth orchestras including the Sydney Youth Orchestra, Tasmanian Youth Orchestra and the Australian Youth Orchestra.

Qualifications/Certifications:

• AMEB Associate Diploma in Music (2009)
• Bachelor in Music Performance - Sydney Conservatorium of Music (2017)
• Current WWVP (Working With Vulnerable People) certified worker
