Professional Double Bass Teacher

After graduating from the Master of Music program at the prestigious university, Boston University, College of Fine Arts, Bonita returned to Australia and won a permanent position with the Opera Australia Orchestra (based at the Sydney Opera House). She has worked with several esteemed, professional orchestras in Australia, USA, Europe, and New Zealand.
Bonita has over fifteen years of teaching experience, passing on her passion for the double bass to students in Sydney and further afield.
Bonita's teaching style is friendly, comfortable, and engaging. She is passionate about music and the double bass, and enjoys sharing this with others who are drawn to the instrument! Whether she is working with children, teens or adult students, she appreciates that everyone has a different way of learning, so she aims to tailor lessons to each student’s individual needs and goals.
Bonita teaches both German and French style bows and has many years of experience teaching the AMEB repertoire. She provides structure and support to enable students to advance through each AMEB level.
