Bonnie has studied vocal technique extensively through University in Australia (VCA), Canada (Concordia) and privately in the United States. Her strengths are contemporary styles, Jazz and improvisation. She has trained with her mentor/teacher Rhiannon (Contemporary of Bobby McFerrin) in the United States for the last 10 years.
She has recently returned from a international music tour throughout Turkey, Europe and South America which has given her many new teaching tools and approaches.
Bonnie has a deep passion for world music and singing in other languages, especially Spanish and French. She currently leads a world music band Reflejos which performs in many festivals and Melbourne music venues.
She also leads a circle singing group which focuses on discovering your vocal expression through improvisation, in a supportive group setting.
Bonnie endeavors to establish sincere connections with students and help them to discover their true potential in a nonjudgmental environment. She currently teaches privately from home in Preston.
She teaches all levels, from complete beginners to the budding professional. She can prepare students for auditions, VCE/AMEB exams, help develop professional vocal technique or just help people connect with their voice for personal growth.
Learning to sing has never been so much fun!
