Mr Cameron Howe

Currently in 3rd year of studying a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at The University of Queensland, Cameron is a driven pedagogue and musician. In 2023, 24 and 25, Cameron toured Outback Queensland, performing alongside the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Opera Queensland.

As an active member of the community, he has appeared performing with the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra, Gold Coast Chamber Orchestra and Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra, as acting Concertmaster in the 2024 season.

At UQ, Cameron plays in a variety of ensembles, including the Pulse Chamber Orchestra, the University of Queensland Symphony Orchestra and various chamber groups. In December 2024, Cameron was Associate Concertmaster in a complete UQ production of Le Nozze Di Figaro, sitting alongside Miss Courtenay Cleary. In 2025, Cameron was a finalist in the Sleath String Performance Prize.

Currently, he is undertaking his violin studies under the tutelage of Miss Doretta Balkizas.

As a teacher, Cameron has four years experience teaching students from four years of age up to adults, and has been an upper-strings tutor at String Society on the Gold Coast since 2023.
