Caroline Chen

Hey there! My name is Caroline and I am very passionate about the cello and music in general :) I would describe myself as quite musically inclined, and have tried out piano, guitar, saxophone and taught myself violin and trumpet.

I recently graduated PLC Perth with a final ATAR Music Score of 100, after receiving the Music Prize for my graduating year and receiving a 100 in my external ATAR practical examination. I’ve had over 10 years of experience in this instrument. Not only do I love solo performances but I have experience in a variety of ensembles: orchestras such as the Western Australian Youth Orchestra for 5 years and the University of Melbourne Biomedicine Orchestra as well as leading cello sections, chamber trios, quartets, duets, cello ensembles and musical bands.

I approach my lessons with flexibility and adaptability, aiming to teach you in the way that best works for you and whatever your goals are - whether you're a beginner who's never touched an instrument or if you're auditioning for an orchestra. I strive for a comprehensive learning experience by honing in skills on technical work and sight reading.
