Cello Lessons

Hey there! My name is Caroline and I am very passionate about the cello and music in general :) I would describe myself as quite musically inclined, and have tried out piano, guitar, saxophone and taught myself violin.

I recently graduated PLC Perth with a final ATAR Music Score of 100, after receiving the Music Prize for my graduating year and receiving a 100 in my external ATAR practical examination. I’ve had over 10 years of experience in this instrument. Not only do I love solo performances but I have experience in a variety of ensembles: orchestras such as the Western Australian Youth Orchestra for 5 years as well as leading cello sections, chamber trios, quartets, duets, cello ensembles and a part of bands for musicals.

Some of my cello achievements entail receiving High Distinction for up to AMEB Certificate of Performance, and being awarded the "Most Outstanding AMEB Strings Performance of the Year" in 2019. I have partaken in many PLC Perth Open Garden Day competitions in the "Open Section" and received 1st place numerous times. I have also received High Distinction for AMEB Theory grades 2-4.

Last year, I received a scholarship to take part in the UWA Strings Accelerate Program. I have also played a lot of rock cello such as music by the "2Cellos", and have busked for charity and have raised over $800 for various causes. I also received a scholarship at Queen's College Melbourne partly due to my musical ability.

I'm currently located around Carlton, VIC and provide cello lessons at a rate of $60. If you are looking for a bubbly, encouraging and experienced cello teacher, shoot me a message!
