Daniel Mougerman

Pianist/keyboardist and producer, Daniel Mougerman is one of Melbourne’s most in-demand musicians. He is the keyboardist for Melbourne favourites, The Bamboos, co-leads the 11 piece Afro-Cuban band, La Influencia and plays keyboards for a number of Melbourne artists including: Rita Satch, Adrian Eagle, NIASHA, Kylie Auldist, Ella Thompson, Mia Wray, Tamil Rogeon, and GL. Additionally, Daniel has shared the stage with Alex Acuña (Weather Report) and Mayito Rivera (Los Van Van), amongst others.

Daniel has performed internationally at festivals including The Great Escape (UK) and Jam Cruise 2023 (USA), as well as touring Europe in 2023 with Mia Wray, supporting Maisie Peters. Locally, he has performed at notable festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest, Melbourne International Jazz Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival. In 2018 he supported Robbie Williams for his Australian arena tour with the Bamboos, in 2019 performed a sold out show at The Night Cat with former Los Van Van frontman Mayito Rivera and performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Bamboos at Hamer Hall for two shows in March 2021.

Daniel’s piano/keyboard playing can be heard on albums by The Bamboos, GL, Lance Ferguson and Tamil Rogeon, amongst others. He is also highly sought after as an arranger, having completed arrangements for three seasons of Dancing With the Stars (2013-15) and the 2014 and 2015 Logie Awards.

He has studied piano with Paul Grabowksy, Vitaly Barishnikov, Tony Gould, Alejandro Falcon (Cuba) and arranging with Brent Fischer (USA).
