Dr. Nick Abbey

I am an experienced and in-demand bassist on the Perth music scene. I hold PhD and first-class Honours degrees from WAAPA, where I am a full-time jazz/contemporary music lecturer teaching bass, ensemble skills, business skills, and Logic Pro. I was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Sessional Staff Excellence Award in 2021 for my teaching at WAAPA. Other accolades include:

—4x WAM Jazz Song of the Year winner (2012–2014 and 2019)

I teach double bass, bass guitar, and music theory, and offer tutoring for small ensembles.
