I am a cello teacher, performer and Alexander Technique practitioner and have taught cello to all ages for over 10 years.

I have experience in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and keenly listen to each student's needs and desires for their cello playing. I encourage improvisation and play in the lessons to enable students to claim their own musicality and can teach any level, from beginner to advanced students.

As for my own practice, I use looping pedals and enjoy cross-discipline performance. I have a firm grounding in classical music and performance from the University of Queensland and enjoy the improvisation and composition process in collaboration with other musicians. I currently play with a local folk band around Tasmania and perform at MONA in the Ladies Lounge and with other artists.

I offer private lessons from my studio in Glaziers Bay for $80/hr, and $90/hr for lessons requiring travel to Hobart or surrounding areas.

Alternatively, join me for an online cello lesson via Zoom ($80). No special equipment required, just a laptop, iPad or phone.
