About Heather:
Heather has a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Teaching in Music and Visual Art. Having taught instrumental music since 2000 her experience in teaching "flute" and other woodwind instruments. Having a focus is important and Flute is her primary instrument however being a life learner she equally enjoys teaching beginner clarinet and Alto Sax. Heather has participated in community music on the Gold Coast for 16 years and has recently moved to Tasmania. While on the Gold Coast she has lead a Community Concert Band sharing local performances with surrounding community and also participated in other local bands and orchestras on flute and piccolo. (Gold Coast Philarmonic Orchestra and Hinterland Community Band). One of her loves is World Music and she has performed in the Qld Conservatorium of Music's Gamelan Ensemble. Currently conducting a large group of Flute in the Clarence Community groups and teaching music and instrumental music at local schools in the area.

All my students receive lessons that help extend their musical and artistic knowledge base that enhance their personal creativity. She loves to challenge her music students with her mindful focused lessons.

Two hour art lessons are available during the week, however only on application. Her goal is to help those who are serious about music education for both children or adults alike.

My Music and Art studio is situated in idyllic surroundings, with room to perform. The location is only 10 minutes from New Norfolk.
