Hi there! My name is Isaac Reed, and I am a third-year Bachelor of Music student studying at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU), majoring in classical saxophone. I am looking to grow my community of students this year and would love to teach you in 2024.
As a teacher, I am warm, friendly, and engaging. I approach lessons with a positive attitude and am constantly looking for new strategies to implement in my teaching. Lessons focus on building a strong foundation of core skills - including rhythm, tone, breathing, aural skills/music theory, and technique - while developing musicality and expression. My aim is to provide students with a wide variety of tools to help them succeed in many different environments.
I have experience teaching beginner group lessons to advanced high school students in a wide range of settings, including in primary and high schools, school band workshops, as well as my own private studio. I also have successfully helped students excel in AMEB exams. I understand how busy it can be for students (and parents!) and look for ways to help make regular practice as fun and accessible as possible. This can include helping designing practice schedules and setting achievable goals.
Please feel free to check out my bio to learn more about my performance and teaching experience, or send me text on 0432 925 461 to discuss a free-of-charge trial lesson.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Isaac
