Jack Palmer

Hey, my name is Jack, I am a music educator, performer and composer with a Bachelor of Music from the ANU School of Music. Informing my teaching practice is over fifteen years of experience in the music industry working with a diverse array of musical styles and artistic mediums. I have performed in premier music venues, festivals and events with local, interstate and international collaborators. In 2024 I completed Speak Percussion's Bespoke Artist Professional Development Program where I developed and presented a live audio-visual improvised performance piece.

I have been teaching music for over fifteen years too, beginning at the age of sixteen teaching local kids in my neighbourhood. Currently, I hold a Senior Teacher position at Richmond Music Academy where I specialise in guitar and digital music production as well as my own private music tuition business that I operate from my studio in Footscray. Teaching is a natural passion of mine. I have a highly cultivated approach that comes from many years of working one-on-one with students of all ages, from all walks of life. Over the years I have a discovered a depth of understanding of the process of learning which I express with enthusiasm, awareness and precision to meet individual student needs.
