Aural Skills & Musicianship Training

I provide comprehensive Aural & Musicianship Training lessons for secondary school students undertaking VCE Music Unit 1-4 exams (e.g. Music Solo Performance, Music Group Performance, Music Styles and Composition).

Whether you are preparing for a VCE or instrumental exam, desiring to sharpen your aural and musicianship skills for an audition or simply develop your musical ear, this is for you!

Lessons can be conducted either online or in-person at my home studio. Throughout the course of our lessons, we will cover music theory in addition to aural training (e.g. recognition of interval, scales and modes, chord types and chord progressions, rhythmic and melodic notation). Depending what your learning goals are, we can have weekly or fortnightly lessons with topics and practice exercises that are tailored to your needs.

I also provide students with interactive online exercises, quizzes, and practice exams that they can engage with in lessons and home practice!
