Keyboard lessons are not restricted to a grading system and Classical repertoire like in Piano lessons.
Students will learn to read music notes and chords. The repertoire will cover a wide range of modern/contemporary piano music: popular tunes, songs from musicals/movies, folk songs, jazz/blues-influenced piano music, etc. Students can also feel free to request to learn any songs that interest them.
Generally students learning keyboard don't plan to take any exams and it is purely to develop valuable musical skills & for their own leisure. It's enjoyable and fun with minimal pressure.
However, if you do want to do exams, I also teach AMEB Piano For Leisure (Preliminary to Grade 8). It is less demanding than AMEB Classical Piano and students still learn fun and contemporary repertoire.
