Jennifer Kaye, BA, DipOpArt

Jennifer Kaye came late to singing, deciding against a career in the Victorian Government when she got the opportunity to study opera at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Engagements followed with the Victoria State Opera (Aïda, Tales of Hoffmann), and Opera Australia (Turandot, Marriage of Figaro). However her great loves are early music, and French and German art song, and in 1997 she managed to travel to Italy with baroque ensemble Continuo Plus to participate in the Urbino Summer School while expecting second child Timothy. She has performed on numerous occasions as soloist with local orchestras, and recorded three programs of French and German songs for the ABC. She taught singing at Loreto Normanhurst for 14 years and currently teaches at home in Pennant Hills while also directing her student vocal ensemble Philomel.
