Joshua Cass

I am a professional woodwind player specialising in both historical and modern instruments, performing regularly with leading ensembles in Queensland and around Australia. My teaching draws on this broad performance background, combining strong technical foundations with a deep focus on musical style and expression.

I currently teach recorder and ocarina, working with students to set clear goals and develop secure, flexible technique alongside thoughtful, expressive musicianship. My approach is structured yet adaptable, supporting students at different stages as they build confidence, refine their skills and engage more deeply with the music they play.
