All musicians should have some keyboard skills. In fact, tertiary level music students at all reputable conservatories are required to learn keyboard skills as part of their studies.
Keyboard skills tie in with music theory skills, due to the ability to visualise the concepts of intervals, triads etc right in front of you.
This is essential for anyone wishing to understand harmonic progressions, not just melodic lines. This is an essential skill for both improvisers and composers/song-writers. And it enhances the performance/aural skills of classical performers.
Trained by Diana Weekes and Mark Ferguson at the Elder Conservatorium, and Diana Harris OAM, I can help you achieve your musical goals.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
