Styles: Classical, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary popular
For anyone who LOVES to sing!
In 2012, I had the pleasure of performing with the ASO in the Adelaide Symphony Chorus (Lord of the RIngs) as well as the Elder Conservatorium’s choirs Adelaide Voices and Chorale. I have sung lead vocals for both jazz and pop performances as well as in musical theatre (e.g Connie Wong in A Chorus Line). I have taught children in the Australian Youth Choir and the Festival of Music. This year I was privileged to have classical voice lessons, supervised by Patrick Power.
Singers also need to be well-rounded musicians so, for children, I like to teach note-reading early on. Forming a good foundational technique can allow the students to easily move on to the style they eventually choose, whether that be classical, jazz or pop/contemporary/musical theatre.
Adult singers, I can help you achieve your vocal goals in modern musical styles (e.g pop, jazz, musical theatre, improvisation) with a good foundational technique. I can also help you craft your songs and find your own style. Or help you learn to sing in tune.
For actors and public speakers, I can help you with gaining confidence, understanding how your voice works, projection, different voice qualities and performance anxiety.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
