Katherine Keeler

I am a flute/piccolo teacher and freelance flautist who performs with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra in The Concourse, Chatswood. For the past nine years, I have taught flute and theory to students of all ages (beginner to university) at my private music studio on Sydney's North Shore and at schools including Pymble Ladies College, Turramurra High School, Asquith Girls High School, Waitara Public School and Normanhurst Public School.

My students have been accepted into the Sydney Conservatorium of Music High School, the Sydney Youth Orchestras, the NSW Arts Unit's SWE and SWO, State Music Camp and NSSWE. Lessons are tailored to meet students' individual goals, whether playing for leisure or preparing for AMEB exams (Preliminary to Certificate of Performance). I am also experienced in preparing students for selective high school entry auditions, eisteddfods and HSC Music 2 and Music Extension exams.

I hold a Bachelor of Music (Performance) with First Class Honours from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, an LMusA, an AMusA, a current WWCC, and completed the Australian Youth Orchestra's Words About Music program in 2022. I also hold a Master of Media Practice (High Distinction) from the University of Sydney.

One-on-one flute and theory lessons are offered from my home studio in Asquith or online.
