Fiddle Lessons

Hello!

I'm offering lessons specialising in all things fiddle nerdery, but especially specialising in Old Time music from the Appalachia's (especially the Round Peak region). My experience/knowledge spreads to Celtic styles - particularly Scottish, but also Irish and Quebecois, and a bit of Bulgarian as well!

I believe that when it comes to music, it's less about learning the right way to do things and more about exploring how we can, and want to, interact with music making. As an instrumental tutor, I see it as my role to foster a love of the life-long journey that comes with music making, choosing to focus on joy, mental well-being, exploration, listening, and holistic practice habits as well as instrumental technique.

I have a Bachelor in Composition & Music Technology from Monash Univesity and as a performer have been lucky enough to play regularly around Melbourne, in festivals such as the National Folk Festival, Woodfordia, Big Sound, and Floating Castle, and abroad in Slovenia, Italy, and Canada.

Please feel free to reach out! I would love to help you along your fiddle journey.
