Lily Kim is the concert pianist, teacher for piano, music theory, music history, aural, music coaching and founded the Lily Kim Music Academy in 2002. She has graduated Bachelor of Music in KyungHee University in Seoul, South Korea in 1987 for piano under Prof. Seok Kim(김석), In-Kyung Lee (이인경) and also graduated the Australian Institute of Music under Dr. Kirill Monorosi.

Her performing experiences include the Main Church Choir pianist in Presbyterian Korean Church (Seoul, Korea), Main Church Choir Pianist in Full Gospel Church (Seoul, Korea), Solo Pianist at KyungHee University Recital Hall & Concert Hall (Seoul, Korea), Conducing in KyungHee University Orchestra hall (Seoul, Korea), Church Pipe Organist and Pianist (Auckland, New Zealand), accompanied in Koreatown Christmas concert “95 송년음악회” at Civic Theatre Main Hall (Auckland, New Zealand), accompanied in Korean Classical Concert night “한국가곡의 밤” at Bruce MASON Centre (Opening concert) (Auckland, New Zealand), accompanied in Korean Classical Concert night “한국가곡의 밤” at Bruce MASON Centre (Auckland, New Zealand), Conducted the Church Choir (Auckland, New Zealand), accompanied in Korean Classical Concert night “한국가곡의 밤” at Victory Christian Church (Auckland, New Zealand), accompanied in Australian International Conservatorium of Music 10th anniversary year 2002 “교수음악회” (Sydney, Australia), and solo piano in John Painter Hall at the Australian Institute of Music.

In 2014 - 16, she studied and written theses for the Master of Music at the Australian Institute of Music. She studied “A discussion on the current interpretation of the keyboard music of J.S.Bach: a comparison between traditional concepts and modern ideas” supervised by Dr. Elizabeth Jones, “Babara von Ployer, a student of W.A.Mozart an examination of Mozart piano concerto No. 17 in G major K. 453” supervised by Dr. Danielle Eden and “One-handed Piano Repertoire A Case Study: The performer Paul Wittgenstein”
