Cello Lessons

**Lessons available in-person and online through the platform Zoom

I am a passionate educator, and my approach to teaching is based on instilling a love for learning and the arts. I have a creative approach, and I have been in demand as a teacher in Sydney and Melbourne, teaching students of all ages and abilities. I have held the position of Lead Teaching Artist at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s education program, ‘The Pizzicato Effect’. I am experienced in preparing students for AMEB exams, from beginner to advanced levels, and I blend a range of pedagogical methods to suit each individual student. I often incorporate improvisation into lessons to encourage students to develop their creativity and own musical style.

I particularly enjoy teaching adult beginners, and as a lifelong learner myself, I have recently completed an Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching at the Australian Yoga Academy. I have found this to be very useful in understanding the body, and relate it to discovering a way to play the cello in the most natural and organic way.

Please feel free to get in touch with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
