Viola Lessons

Michelle Pritchard (Urquhart) is passionate about teaching the viola. It is her aim to instill good technique from day one and infuse this with a love of music. She encourages music reading from the beginning and also a knowledge of music theory.
Michelle has taught violin and viola for the past 25 years.
Michelle was tutor with the Central Coast Conservatorium and Ensemble Director for their Saturday beginner strings for several years until she became joint founder/ director of the Strings Alive Academy in 2013.
She now runs her own studios in Hornsby, St Ives and Mangrove Mountain.
Michelle performs regularly as a Chamber Musician and soloist and in 2015 embarked on a recital tour in Italy and has also performed in the U.K., Singapore, Poland, Munich, Zurich, The Netherlands.
She has been fortunate to learn from highly esteemed teachers such as Alec Todicescu and Jeremy Williams. She was able to attend lessons with David Takeno and Pavlo Beznosiuk in April 2012, in the U.K.
