Robert Smith

Having recently completed a Bachelor of Music in Performance at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, I won a first violin position in the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra before accepting a first violin contract position with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. I have also performed extensively with the Australian Youth Orchestra as concertmaster, associate concertmaster and principal second in various seasons. I have competed in and won major prizes in competitions across Australia, including the Kendall National Violin Competition, the Australian National Concerto and Vocal Competition, the Vada Jefferies Prize and the Matilda Jane Aplin Prize.
