Hi there, I have been teaching instrumental music both privately and in schools for close to 20 years. Over this time I have enjoyed teaching students from primary school and secondary school age as well as adults who are wanting to improve their music skills or start from scratch.
I view it as my job to inspire students to engage in music and to define their own path. Parents are welcome (encouraged) to attend lessons for younger children.
I teach both French horn and piano at my studio in Bendigo or online and provide piano accompaniment for early AMEB brass exams in the greater Bendigo region.
I also offer aural training sessions for students wanting to develop their aural skills. This can be specifically to help with AMEB or VCE exams however my main focus is to help students link aural skills directly back to their playing skills..
Other specialties include:
Chamber Music - e.g VCE group performance feedback or tutorial for hobby ensembles. Do you need help with repertoire selection? Does your group struggle to work on balance and intonation? Ensemble unity? Learning difficult parts? I can help!
Music Appreciation - please email me to register your interest for group sessions which run periodically throughout the year.
I am currently taking new enrolments for 2021:
If you are an adult who has always wanted to learn piano please get in touch! If you played horn in high school and want to start up again, please get in touch! Parents who are looking for a teacher who will strive to inspire your child to develop a love for music, please do get in touch!
