Ruby is an accredited teacher of the Suzuki Talent Education Association of Australia (NSW). Prior to relocating to Sydney, Ruby served as cello faculty at Oberlin Conservatory of Music's Community Music School in the United States, where she taught Suzuki cello, group classes, coached chamber music, and led the Early Childhood program.
As a performer on the cello and viola da gamba, Ruby is sought after for masterclasses and concert appearances, with recent engagements at Les Délices (Cleveland), Capitol Early Music (Washington, D.C.), the Taylor Johnson Early Music Series at Michigan State University, and the Cranbrook Music Guild's Chamber Artist Series (Michigan).
Ruby holds degrees in cello and viola da gamba from Oberlin Conservatory, University of Michigan, and Lawrence University. She has completed registered Suzuki training with trainers Fran Firth, Andrea Yun, Tanya Carey, Carey Cheney, and Avi Friedlander.
