Seiko Chan is a Cross-over Soprano and Brisbane renowned vocal coach, the director of Brisbane Music Center. She is taught by the Australian renowned master opera singer Maggie Noonan. Seiko has been devoting herself to develop students’ talents in music and also interpersonally in the process of learning music. Her strength of training their students using the traditional bel canto method and crossover to contemporary vocal singing, Seiko is a rare artist in Brisbane who is experienced in teaching music in diversity such as classical and contemporary singing of multicultural music. Seiko also got a very good reputation among her students and parents (see ref. of testimonials page). She has participated in different cultural performances and charity fund-raising events in Brisbane for the last 15 years. Won the Hong Kong International Vocal Open competition award in Opera division, She starred in Oxfam fund-raising musical "Seiko's Musical Journey" at the Brisbane Powerhouse in Sep 2017 and was invited as a special guest to perform in the Brisbane Lord Mayor charity Foundations fund-raising concert 2018 and in the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital fund-raising events – Miss Australia Chinese Pageant 2019. In May 2019 was appointed to be the Performance Director of the charity event – Lions Club of Brisbane Chinese Autumn Family Fun Day. Seiko was invited by Queensland Health Department to be the judge of the Positive Mindset Creative Arts Festival in Oct 2017. She is appointed as the judge of “Singer China” singing competition in 2018, 2021 and 2023. In November of 2018 Seiko Held the Australia Division of 2019 Hong Kong International Vocal Open Competition as organizer and event director, and in Jan 2019 was appointed to be judge panel and the guest performer of the grand final of 2019 Hong Kong International Vocal Open Competition.
