Stella Anning

Stella is a Melbourne based Guitarist, arranger and composer who currently plays in a variety of bands including the John Flanagan Band, Lisa Baird’s Bitches Brew, LHĒON, and ISEULA. Stella is the guitarist, backing vocalist and co-songwriter for Neo-Soul band Push Portal and composes and leads her own trio; STAT (Stella Anning Trio).
Stella completed her Bachelor of Music at Monash University in 2006 in Jazz Performance. Soon after she released her debut album with a Buzz Grant. Since then, Stella has recorded with numerous collectives and regularly toured around Australia. Stella spent some time in the Australian Army Band where she performed in Japan, toured around Australia with Guy Sebastian and performed a variety of shows from visiting remote indigenous communities to performing at the MCG, Suncorp Stadium (Brisbane) and Allianz Stadium (Sydney).
Stella’s trio STAT released their debut EP in 2022 which much praise. The trio performed around Australia, at Lazybones in Sydney, The Ellington Jazz Club in Perth and many venues in Melbourne.
