A little about me:
My primary instrument is the Bass Trombone and I have been playing since 2004. I have also learned all the other brass instruments along the way and have even tried my hand at some woodwind instruments.
My greatest achievement to date is winning the Open Bass Trombone National Championships in 2019. Other significant achievements include having played for Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Perth, being invited to perform at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, performing with the West Australian and Queensland Symphony Orchestras, and performing with the Band of the 1st Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery.
After completing my Certificate IV in Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2010, I sought instruction from Philip Holdsworth, Principal Bass Trombone of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Since then, I found my home in Brisbane where I completed a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Tom Coyle, Principal Bass Trombone, and Jason Redman, Principal Trombone of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
These days I teach at several northside schools, play with the Queensland Wind Orchestra, and conduct the Brisbane Citizens’ Concert Band based in Nundah.
