Hi, I'm Stevie Maston, and I’ve been passionately playing the violin for 14 years. Currently, I’m in my third year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, pursuing a Bachelor of Classical Violin Performance. I have also earned my diploma (AMUS) in violin performance and completed my 5th grade musicianship with AMEB.
My musical journey has allowed me to work with accomplished artists like Sophie Rowell (Concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) and to engage with numerous seasoned musicians. I’ve participated in distinguished youth programs with the Australian Youth Orchestra, the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra, the orchestra project and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. In 2019, I had the honor of being the Concertmaster for the String Orchestra in the Queensland Conservatorium’s SHEP program and was an active member of the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra for three years.
Under the guidance of some of Australia’s top pedagogues, including Janet Davies, Michele Walsh, and Spiros Rantos, I’ve honed my skills. I’ve also studied the Alexander Technique, which is a key component of training at the Royal College of Music. With over four years of teaching experience, I am dedicated to nurturing students of all levels, from beginners to advanced (Preliminary - CMus), with enthusiasm, kindness, and respect. I look forward to welcoming you to my lessons.
