OVERVIEW
Emily has been teaching piano and music theory lessons since 2011 and has taught in places from rural Australia to Brisbane City. She studied music throughout high school and, in 2013, moved to Brisbane to begin a Bachelor of Music and Marketing at the Queensland University of Technology. In addition to her studies, Emily has been a keyboardist in a band, played piano in a jazz instrumental group and taken part in eisteddfods where she has received first prize awards.
TEACHING STYLE
Emily uses activities and Q&A to stimulate thinking and aid a student’s understanding of music. She has extensive experience preparing students for their AMEB exams and enjoys using the exam material to evaluate and track progress for all her students. With dedication and practice, Emily believes that everyone can learn to play an instrument!
