As a musician, I have always valued the sense of emotion and narrative that provides any piece of music with meaning. Each piece has a unique story or emotional reaction that provides both the audience and performer with a sense of interest and entertainment that is almost impossible to recreate exactly the same way twice. It is this exciting sense of storytelling and entertainment that I wish to incorporate into all my musical endeavours of performing, teaching, and conducting.
As a teacher, I take pride in making one-on-one vocal training accessible for as many students with the will to learn as possible, regardless of their ages or skill level. During lessons at my studio, students will learn how to sing using healthy technique that will protect and develop their voice, whilst helping them create a beautiful sound in the process. Lessons may also involve learning other singing or music related skills such as how to read music, practice techniques, aural training, or learning to sight singing, should the student desire. Most importantly, students will learn how to confidently perform any piece in the setting of their choosing, and with emotional meaning.
My qualifications and training include a Bachelor of Music Honours (Class 1) Degree, and numerous professional development courses including the Broadway Teachers Workshop in New York. I am able to travel within the local area or take online lessons if necessary, and hold a current Blue Card. Currently practicing COVID Safe procedures to ensure the safety of all students. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email should you have any questions.
Look forward to hearing from you!!!
