Saxophone Lessons

Chris began learning saxophone at the age of eight, following his completion of AMEB Grade 3 in Piano. He quickly developed proficiency in saxophone, progressing through the AMEB grades with distinction at every level. His musical expertise was further honed through his studies at the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.

Chris has received multiple awards for his Alto Saxophone performances at Eisteddfods across Sydney, Penrith, and Wollongong. In 2022, he won the Saxophone 20 & Under section at the Sydney Eisteddfod and earned second and third place in the prestigious Sutherland Shire Youth Music Awards in 2021 and 2022. His exceptional HSC performances also led to his nomination for the esteemed Encore HSC Showcase at the Sydney Opera House in 2023.

Although saxophone is his primary instrument, Chris is also proficient in piano and clarinet and has experience playing flute. He holds AMEB Grade 6 in Piano and has achieved AMEB Grade 4 in Music Theory.

As an experienced music educator, Chris employs a structured approach to teaching, incorporating rhythm, music theory, sight-reading, and performance techniques tailored to students of all ages. For younger learners, he integrates engaging activities that make music theory and performance fun through interactive games.

Chris is available for lessons in the Sutherland Shire and St George area and can travel to your location. Additional travel fees may apply.
