I'm an experienced conductor of community orchestras, and university and school ensembles. Thirty years in the QSO as well as performing in other professional orchestras in Australia and Germany have taught me a lot about how to do it, and in some cases, how not to do it! A PhD in musicology helps me to have a deep understanding of musical styles and how to perform them appropriately and successfully.
