After 30 years in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and other professional orchestras in Australia, Germany and Austria, I can offer double bass teaching at the highest standard. My former students have occupied positions in several Australian and European symphony orchestras, as well as teaching positions. As well as a solid technical foundation, musicianship and a deep understanding of style and genre are essential to my teaching. With a PhD in musicology, I can communicate this.
