Andrew has been playing Guitar since 1985 and teaching since 1989. He co-founded Brisbane Independent Music Academy in 1997 which became Independent Music Academy in 2003.
He has a Diploma Of Music (Composition) from The Queensland Conservatorium Of Music studying under Gerard Brophy.
At the age of 17 he released a Joe Satriani inspired Guitar Instrumental EP and has since been involved in numerous independent releases and advertising work.
He has been a member of Brisbane groups Taxi, Shenzo’s Electric Stunt Orchestra, The Compost Composers Group and The Suzie MacKenzie Band.
Andrew has performed at major music festivals including Livid, The Big Day Out, Vans Warped and The Woodford Folk Festival. He has played at sell out club shows and venues on the east coast.
He’s written and recorded music for TV series The Sleepover Club, soundtracks for installations and art shows at the Queensland Art Gallery, the 'Ministers Arts Awards' interactive multimedia CD and the Yamaha Virago television commercial.
Andrew has also created string and horn arrangements for numerous albums and independent label releases.
