Ingrid is from Adelaide and has been playing violin professionally for fifteen years. During her study at Adelaide University under Keith Crellin (co-founder of Australian String Quartet), she took part in various chamber groups and also performed individually as a soloist on many occasions. She then continued on to complete Masters in Music Performance at Melbourne University with Matthew Tomkins (co-founder of Flinders Quartet and Principal Second Violin in Melbourne Symphony Orchestra). She also performed regularly with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Melbourne Chamber Orchestra as well as Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. She is now based in Adelaide.
Ingrid has had extensive experience teaching both in schools, such as Wesley College (VIC), Cobury West Primary School (VIC) and St Peters Girls College (SA), as well as privately. She understands very well that each individual is different and moulds her lessons to suit their interests, goals and learning style.
Students can expect an encouraging and stimulating environment where they will be able to develop good technique and skills to understand and enjoy music. Whatever your goal is, Ingrid can provide a lesson that will help you to progress positively.
