AMusA with Honours French Horn, AMEB Grade 6 Theory of Music, AMEB Grade 8 Piano
Sunga Lee is the winner of the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Accenture Scholarship, being praised for her tone, technical reliability, and stamina. Since the age of 10, she has excelled in every aspect of her horn playing, including pedagogy and academia. This has allowed her to open a private teaching studio and teach as a French Horn Specialist at Somerville House.
Sunga is in her final year of completing her Bachelor of Music degree at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, under the tutelage of Associate Professor Peter Luff, Ysolt Clark, and Malcolm Stuart (Principal Horn of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra).
Since her first year at the Conservatorium, she has been a Casual Musician with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the Queensland Pops Orchestra, and was appointed as the Principal Horn of the Queensland Pops Orchestra the following year. Sunga additionally participates in projects as a freelance artist. In 2018, Sunga is the Principal Horn of the Australian Youth Orchestra.
She acquired her AMusA Diploma with Honours for horn in 2015.
