Hi! I’m an Honours graduate from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) that has a very strong passion for music and music education.
I achieved distinctions and high distinctions throughout grades one to six on the AMEB Theory of Music exams, and have earned a GPA of 7 (out of 7) for all Music Theory courses at QCGU.
I understand that music theory is not something that everyone enjoys, but with my energy and dedication for theory and teaching, I can guarantee that fun can be had with music theory. Having had a music education since the age of 5, I am aware of how students perceive and learn, enabling me to teach in an effective and appealing manner to ensure enjoyment and quick learning.
I was very fortunate to have an amazing musical education experience, and see value in recreating the same feeling for my students. Thus, I very much enjoy working with children and have a great amount of patience, as I strive to make a comfortable and positive learning environment.
I welcome students of all ages who are looking to prepare for AMEB exams from grades 1 to 5, or for pure fun and general knowledge.
Theory lessons are available in Coopers Plains or Kangaroo Point.
