Hi! I’m an Honours graduate from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) that has a very strong passion for music and music education. I studied horn under Peter Luff, Ysolt Clark, and Malcolm Stuart and completed my thesis under the supervision of Dr Diana Tolmie.
Since my first year of study, I have held casual positions in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the Queensland Pops Orchestra. I have since become a casual member for Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, played with Queensland Camerata, Best of Brass, John Coulton Brass and other ensembles. I was principal horn for the Australian Youth Orchestra's (AYO) Young Symphonists program in 2016 and for the AYO Seasons Programs in 2018. In 2018, I received the Accenture Scholarship from AYO following multiple performance and academic awards from QCGU.
I was very fortunate to have an amazing musical education experience and see value in recreating this for my students. I very much enjoy working with children and have a great amount of patience, as I strive to make a comfortable and positive learning environment.
I currently teach at Willougby Public School and Randwick Public School in Sydney. In Brisbane, I held positions as the French horn tutor at Somerville House, Churchie, John Paul College and St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School.
I welcome students of all ages of all levels, including adults, who are looking to prepare for AMEB/Trinity exams, scholarship preparation or for pure fun and leisure.
I have limited spaces for travel around Sydney during weekdays.
