I am a piano teacher with over 35 years experience in school based and private music education. I have a passion for teaching children the gift of music in particular the art of piano playing

I am a loyal and above all experienced teacher. I have maintained a small private practice over 35 years and have guided whole families, children and parents alike, through their musical careers. I have recently started teaching the daughters of one of my earliest students to play the piano. These long term relationships give me great delight.

I began in-school work as Southside Christian College’s first general music teacher. I developed their music program as the fledgling school grew and only left when it became clear that their demands outstripped my capacity. I developed a relationship with the company who took over the provision of music education to the school and have since worked in a number of schools for them.

When my students left the school a number of them kept me as a home teacher of piano, thus I continued with their musical education on a private basis.

All this should make clear my experience and ability to retain students, relate to students, staff and parents. I am experienced with AMEB and Kodaly methods of teaching
I am an enthusiastic and engaged teacher who is flexible but committed.
