I am from a small town in Kyoto, Japan. It is a beautiful place, but it was not easy to reach music education outside school. However thanks to the support of my family and teachers, I could find a way to study music and I completed a Bachelor of Music Education (piano) in Japan followed by a postgraduate study at the Queensland Conservatorium.
I enjoy being a piano teacher very much. Through my teaching experience both in a school setting and on a one-on-one basis, I have taught a variety of students from young children to adult learners including students who want to learn piano just for enjoyment as well as those who wish to sit examinations. I construct my lessons depending on each student’s needs and their learning goals to make them meaningful and enjoyable experiences.
