You can study jazz and/or classical piano at JWA with Gavin Ahearn and Roshan Kumarage. Both are wonderful teachers with a kind, encouraging manner who get results. Suitable for all ages and levels. Preparation for HSC and school music assessments is available. Beginners and adults are welcome.
Jazz piano can provide a wonderful but substantial alternative to the common exam - based rote learning method. Of course lessons for beginners include all the technique, reading and theory essential for a strong foundation in the instrument.
All levels welcome. Young beginners must be able to sit still and listen for 30 minutes without a parent supervising. If they can't manage that yet, they aren't quite ready for lessons at JWA.
