Monique Clare Bartkowiak

Welcome! I'm an experienced professional cellist and educator, specialising in creativity, adult learning and multiple genres (including classical, folk & pop). I have toured internationally extensively both as a solo singer-songwriter under Monique Clare, and as a member of folk band The Maes, and have worked as a cellist for artists including Eminem, Kate Miller-Heidke, KYGO, Darol Anger and Hanneke Cassel. I studied a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium in 2015 where I was awarded the Vada Jeffries Bach Prize, and was a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra performing in the Sydney Opera House.

Touring has taken me as far as Kaustinen Folk Festival in Finland and Cambridge Folk Festival in England, to the World Expo in Dubai and National Institute of Music in Afghanistan.

I bring a wealth of experience to my private studio. My students have unique interests, strengths and needs and I draw upon over a decade's worth of teaching and performing to tailor each lesson individually.
